Creamy Carrot Cake Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1¼ cup banana frozen
- 1 carrot small, chopped
- 1 date if dry, soak in warm water for 10-15 minutes, then drain
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ⅙ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¾ cup almond milk or any dairy free milk
- 1 protein powder plain or vanilla
FOR SERVING optional
- 1 tbsp carrot grated
- 1 tbsp shredded coconut
- 1 tbsp chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Add banana, carrot, date (optional), cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, nutmeg, dairy-free milk (starting with the lesser amount), and protein powder (optional) to a high speed blender and blend until creamy and smooth. - Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more cinnamon for warmth, ginger for spice / kick, or date for sweetness.
