Ham and Cheese Keto Stromboli

The Ham and Cheese Keto Stromboli is a scrumptious, low-carbohydrate, high fat meal that will tantalize your taste buds. This dish is made with a savory blend of ham, cheese, and spices wrapped in a tender, flaky crust. It’s perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, or makes the perfect finger food and can be easily reheated for future meals. Stromboli is traditionally served rolled up like a roll cake, but in American cuisine, most places will serve their stromboli folded up similarly to a calzone.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ¼ cups mozzarella grated
  • 4 tbsp almond flour
  • 3 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 120 g ham
  • 100 g cheddar cheese
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 200C and in a microwave melt your mozzarella cheese. About 1 minute, then 10 second intervals, stirring occasionally.

  • Combine almond flour, coconut flour and seasonings in a mixing bowl, then place melted mozzarella on top and begin working it in.
    4 tbsp almond flour, 3 tbsp coconut flour, 1 tsp italian seasoning, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp pepper
  • After about a minute, when the cheese has had a chance to cool down a bit, add in your egg and combine everything together.

  • When everything is combined, transfer it to a flat surface with some baking paper paper and lay a sheet of baking paper on top.
  • Use a rolling pin or your hand to flatten it out.
  • Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut diagonal lines beginning from the edges of the dough to the center, leave a row of dough untouched about 4 inches wide.
  • Alternate laying ham and cheddar on that uncut stretch of dough. Then lift one section of dough at a time and lay it over the top, covering your filling.

  • Bake it for about 15-20 minutes until you see it has turned a golden brown color.
